Guys I need your help please!! :((
Written by: mrkac1994 - 21:41 Jul-12-2017

So guys as some of you know I bought Msi GTX 1050ti T 4gb,totally new card. But here is my problem: Before i pluged it in PCIE socket ofcourse, and when i was about  to boot up my system, all the fans were spinning and all the lights (from my ramm memory) were shining, everrything was fine as it seems but the screen darkens like it will boot up the system and then it shows me ,,check the signal cable'' and that's all. I was afraid that te card is not good so i tested ATi 4870 and 8800GT some old cards thaat i have (they use DVi connector) and i got the same thing.I know that it's not the card's fault, I think that PSU doesn't have enough power to ,,push'' everything,to put it that way.Can you help me,does anyone knows what that is??

P.S: Maybe it's worth mentioning, this problem occured even before i got this new card with my od HD 7950,maybe there is some part of psu that's broken..

What do you guys think? Any help is highly apreciated :)

Good news indeed. I'm glad the problem has been found.
Did you consider upgrading the CPU? You already need to change the MoBo, so you might as well change the CPU too.

Good idea actually, the FX 6300 can't really hold up to AAA games anymore. Maybe get an i5 6400 or 4460 ?

IDK about the 4460. Its a little old and its only 5 bucks cheaper from the i5 6400. And If he ads roughly another 20$ to the price of the i5 6400, he can get an i5 7500 or an R5 1600 which are a better upgrade overall.

FX 6300 can't hold up?? Budy, with even older card 7950 3 gb and fx 6300 there was no problem for me to run new games on high to ultra settings with smooth fps. Plus I see no point in wasting money on new CPU when this one works great.

1) can you get into BIOS?
2) did you try another cable?
3) try clear CMOS/battery of the motherboard
4) try to upgrade BIOS

I have a few thing in mind that can potentially cause this problem:
1. Faulty PCIe lane. Check the PCIe connector and see if there is anything that seems broken or burned out.
2. Damaged signal cable/connector. Check your display connector in your monitor and in your cable. (you can troubleshoot this by changing the monitor and the display cable)

Strange thing is,when i plug HDMI cable into my laptop and then into the tv it works fine, but on my pc it doesnt matter if I connect graphics card that is connected via HDMI od DVi it doesn't show anything except to check my cables as I mentioned before.I'm afraid if maybe it's something with the tv as you said or even the motherboard :/

So to sum it up:
Laptop + TV = works fine
PC + Same TV = doesnt work.
Is that so?

Depending on your monitor it may be the resolution is set higher than your monitor can handle ?
The PSU shouldn't be problem if it was already running the 7950 since the 1050ti probably uses half the power UNLESS the PSU is damaged in some way or the 6pin connector ain't working properly/is damaged.

depends on manufacturer, if they offer higher clock speeds, then it's always more safe to add additional power source (PCIex slot provides up to 75W, so adding a 6pin power adds another 75W headroom, or 8pin adds another 150W headroom)

@Lion94 1050 Ti cards that have one 6 pin connector are:
ASUS Strix Gaming
ASUS Strix Gaming OC
MSI Gaming X
Gigabyte G1 Gaming
Gigabyte Windforce OC

My card doesn't have a 6 pin connector :)
