Hellblade Senua's Sacrifice Gameplay Benchmark GTX 960
Written by: penoys - 12:42 Aug-08-2017

Hey guys,

Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice runs pretty well on a GTX 960 2GB at 1080p Med-High settings. Even high is more than playable. And the game runs pretty smooth, it's not one of those games where anything below 50 is very noticeable.

Obviously this is great given the minimum requirement was a GTX 770 / R9 280X :)

Gameplay wise: I've only played it a bit but I can tell that the combat has promise. Remains to be seen if opponents later on show more variety to keep it from being boring. Other parts of the gameplay like puzzle / exploration, I can't say I'm impressed with. Hopefully they become more interesting further on.

And to anyone who doesn't know (I didn't), the game has permadeath, as you will see in the video.

You are awesome. now I know how well it will run on my rig, since we have same performing cards give or take. This game seems awesome and I'm getting it.

Thanks bud, glad I could help. Still don't know what optimal settings are, but I was pleasantly surprised with performance. I guess nothing craters expectations like saying your card is only supposed to handle 720p
I just got to the first boss fight. If you don't mind spoilers, you can view it here: https://youtu.be/wkwxcc3UZFw

I really mind spoilers actually, I like to know nothing, but the genre and a couple of trailers for the game, movie or book that I play/watch/read, but thanks. :)
And just keep in mind as long as your GPU is better than the current consoles' GPUs you can run the game at least about as good as consoles and both our GPUs are.

Plus developers have been optimizing their games both graphically and logic-wise for the sub 200$ market for the past 7-8 years, so yeah that's another factor. That's why most AAA games barely improve visuals above their 2nd or 3rd higher quality setting, while eating a lot more FPS. That's why recently I've been playing most of my games, even the one I can max out at 2nd or 3rd best setting.
