If you have a Windows 10 tablet and use Spybot Anti-beacon
Written by: TClawWolf - 07:08 Dec-07-2017

Pro tip

If you have a tablet running Windows 10

and you decide to use Spybot Anti-Beacon to kill some of that annoying spyware

make SURE you uncheck the sensors box before applying immunization.

Otherwise you'll spend who knows how long in frustration wondering why your screen is suddenly no longer auto-rotating when you change tablet orientation

*sheesh*

I applied it shortly after I installed 10 -- currently rarely on Win 10 -- but didn't recall having seen such an option; is this related to data collection regarding (cursor) movement on the screen?
Thanks for the tip :)

The "sensors" option in anti-beacon blocks both sensor data and turns the sensors off completely…. meaning anything relying on sensors, such as a phone/tablets autorotation feature which uses axis and tilt sensors will stop working…. I can see why it blocks data collection, but not why they're blocking the sensors entirely.

Yeah, makes sensor as for the first part, but indeed, blocking the sensors entirely?! Maybe data is still collected, only receiving NULL values :P Nah, no further clue…
