AMD vs Nvidia: 5 reasons why AMD wins
Written by: weakharry - 07:10 Jun-30-2012

                     AMD Vs Nvidia (GFX)

who do you think wins?

but in my opinion AMD wins... DONT GET PISSED OFF IT IS JUST AN OPINION

Here are the reasons:

1. Pricing is better in AMD/ATI.. Especially for poor people like me and TeroMarsu

2. The Noise My 6850 is so goddamn quiet when playing games

3. Wattage use AMD is better Nvidia GFX uses a lot more watts than AMD Gfx

4. Xbox 360 uses an AMD gfx. Xbox 360s can still play very demanding games even with a 7 yr old gfx.

5. Quality and Lifespan

* If Im wrong dont thumb me down. just correct it*

i rather chose ATi/AMD, because they are wallet-friendly, and not to much power to run it

first, I had a radeon x1300 then later when I upgraded my pc I changed to a 9800gtx+ and then after sometime I decided to upgrade to a hd6870 for a change of pace, more like because of...price vs performance factor at that time.

Yep. I bought this when it released and no other card came close to this in terms of Price-vs-Performance ratio. It sure my 'sweet spot' ;)

I don't even know what to say.You have NV on pricing, but the rest of Kepler has yet to hit the market. Also, the pricing went down because of the power that Kepler holds over AMD. Noise isn't objective enough, as many manufacturers make the same design for both NV and AMD (like MSI or Gigabyte). Wattage use by NV cards is actually smaller between Kepler and 7000 series. This GTX 680 uses 300W max while this 7970 uses 375W and delivers less performance. The Xbox 360 uses a SoC design that can't be compared to a PC. And, the 360 plays modern games on the lowest possible settings at 720p with a ridiculous amount of system optimization. Quality and lifespan are entirely subjective. Just my opinion :D I'm open to debate though.

A suggestion. Why don't YOU write a blog 'favouring' Nvidia and have an awesome debate? Would make for an intense atmosphere for sure.

Lol maybe, I'm sure I could make something pretty brash. I was just trying to be objective and have a friendly debate here though :D

Tone it down a bit then. GPU articles can cause serious fanboism but if done right, could make for a good debate. I would Iike to answer you there. It'd be Epic actually. Im going a bit overboard here,I know :p

To each his own. All I can say is that I own an AMD 6870 and boy, am I satisfied with it. An honest article that everyone should look at and give there thoughts regardless if they agree or not :)

I have one too. so far I'm satisfied with the gaming performance on 18.5 inch monitor. and it doesn't make too much noise, my cpu fan does though.

I usually like Higher resolution even if it means reducing my in-game settings a bit. I love to see 'more' things on my screen and in gaming, a bigger res is only beneficial :)
