Laugh all you want but in Belgium it's considered cruelty towards animals to feed them until they pass out. I have 3 dogs at home as well so I too am a dog enthusiast. Some breeds, as Tero said, will eat everything you put in front of them because of their survival instinct. Problem is that if it's dry food they will eat a lot but get thirsty afterwards and drink a lot. Making their stomachs very heavy and in some cases twist inside their bodies, which kills them.
A breeder I know had 2 of his dogs die this way because he was too lazy to feed them twice a day, so he fed his dogs the amount of 2 meals at once. Just that amount plus the water they drank was enough to kill them.

Yeah and one thing to remember is that NEVER take your dog out on a walk right after you've fed him/her, his/hers stomach can twist...

Modern RPG's pale in comparison to the sheer majesty that Fallout 2 contained in one box.
