In Ottawa's downtown mall, the Rideau Centre, is the only franchise of The Apple Store in the city.
Everytime I pass by the store, there seems to be 200 people doing something inside. Whether it's dealing with the Gurus, trying out iPads and iPhones or buying something, the place is always hopping regardless of the time of day.
I took a look at some of their all-in-one iMac machines and I have to admit that they are gorgeous looking machines. I doubt anybody would reject a gift of a 27-inch iMac.
Problem is, Macs are not suitable for serious video gamers. While there are some games that are available on both the PC and Mac, many of the big guns are PC-only. To run them on Mac, you would have to use Boot Camp and buy Windows 7 and even still, the quality would be below the comparable PC model.
However, Macs certainly are beautiful looking machines. I guess that's their main appeal, as well as being good for business, graphic design and music. Otherwise, there really isn't anything special underneath the gaudy screen, especially for a video gamer.
