Hello guys, so you all know that Windows 8 will come out very soon, so I tough why not to do little benchmark between Windows 7 vs Windows 8 so we can see is Windows 8 worth buying. This is the system that both OS were tested on: Intel Pentium E5300 Dual Core 2.6 GHz, RADEON HD6770 1GB DDR5, 4GB DDR2 800Mhz RAM, Resolution 1440x900.
So frist game I tested was World of Tanks. Here are average results between those two OS.
Windows 7: Average FPS 65
Windows 7: Maximum FPS 115
Windows 8: Average FPS 50-55
Windows 8: Maximum FPS 95
Next games I tested was Call of Duty 4 Modern Warafre MP, I tested games on my server (promod) with same settings ( same config )
Windows 7: Average FPS 230-250
Windows 8: Average FPS 180-250 (here wee see more fps drop then Windows 7)
Then I tested web browsers. Internet Explorer 9 vs Internet Explorer 10
Internet Explorer 9: Loading www.game-debate.com - about 2,30 seconds
Internet Explorer 10: Loading www.game-debate.com - about 1,60 seconds
Next test is testing RAM usage on both OS
Windows 7: RAM Usage: 600-700-800 MB's
Windows 8: RAM Usage: 600-700 MB's
Next game I tested was Crysis 2 on High settings
Windows 7: Average FPS 45
Windows 8: Average FPS 56
Then I used PassMark benchmark software, here are results
Windows 7: Simple test: 2731.1 FPS

Windows 7: Medium test: 807.6 FPS
Windows 8: Medium test: 787.4 FPS
Windows 7: Complex test: 50.4 FPS
