Well he is my first go...

CPU: Core 2 quad 3.0GHz
GFX: Nvidia GeForce GTS 450
RAM: 4 GB
DRM: ?
HDD: 25GB hard drive

These are recommend for medium to high setting, Gameplay.

I agree with the GPU. It's a really good guess but I doubt it will require a 4-cored CPU with 3.0GHZ. That kind of CPU delivers really huge performance.

I don't think the GTS 450 would be enough to play it on medium-high. GTA IV was released almost 3 years ago and there certainly has been progress in graphics. I say GTX 460 / 5850 for medium-high, and a GTX from 500s for maxing out. I agree about the CPU and RAM though. HDD seems a bit too much, but might be right as well :)

Term - The HDD for the recently released RAGE was over 20GB so I don't see any reason why a big hitter like GTA V wouldn't have a massive Hard Disk requirement.

The CPU - In one sense Pip is absolutely right, that kind of CPU is still far ahead of the curve in terms of gameplay requirements because of the constant design of games for console. BUT GTA IV was ported so badly that a heavy weight CPU was certainly leaned on by the game to help deliver the game to our PCs. So if GTA V is anything like its predecessor then a massive RIG will be needed to get the game to run.

Yeah a 4 core CPU with 3.0GHZ? If a game requires it, was either poorly developed or is simply visually amazing. I don't know about the GPU guys. In the end my baby (540M) ends up playing every top notch game like Crysis 2 or BF3 on medium or even high so I really doubt such a powerful GPU is required.

ad GTA IV:
With 2,8Ghz AMD Athlon II X2 240 I had about 25fps - with Athlon II 455 - 3-core 3,3Ghz I have about 60fps with the same settings - so hihg freq quad-core is needed here ;)

I could easily see it being 25gb. Storage is so cheap that its not a big deal for people to get anymore.

GTA V has a much larger map then any other and it will be multi player. All of the specs I mentioned are not going to be way over the top, when the game is released.
