Is my pc good enough

Hey guys, im looking to play just about any game(assassins creed series, gta 4, skyrim, diablo 3, etc) on my pc, and im wondering if i could play them at low to med settings. right now i have a 33 inch 720p tv hooked up to my pc so im also wondering what resolution i should use.
My PC specs are:
-8gb ram
-Nvidia GTX 550ti GPU
-AMD Athlon 64 x2 Dual Core 5000+ 2.60GHz
-Windows 7 64bit

Yes you can run it on medium-high settings just fine.

Also, a CPU upgrade would be quite nice.

Thanks. ya the problem is that i would also need a new mobo and i dont feel like spending all the money

its not certain you have to replace the mobo. you have an am2 cpu which means that your board might be am2+ compatible and if its so you could get a nice phenom II that will enhance your gaming experience by alot!
