Resolution Issues

Postby larkj94 » Mon Jun 18, 2012 6:17 pm

I recently bought a new computer and I've came across this problem with it; when I'm playing games like Modern Warfare or any of the Call of Duty series I find that although the game says I have, my computer doesn't let me change the game resolution so I'm often stuck with an unplayable game because of FPS lag or such a low resolution that I cannot see any detail. Is it that my computer is not compatible with these games or is this an issue that I can fix? If so, please help!

Intel i3 3.30Ghz 4GB Ram Win 7 Intergrated 56mb Graphics Card and 64 bit operating system.

Hello.
I did not understand your question. "I find that although the game says I have" .. says you have what? Please me more specific.

I agree I don;t understand either. You say you can't change the resolution but then either get lag ( from playing at a too high a resolution) or have to play at to low a resolution. Sounds like the res is getting changed?

Sorry, let me rephrase that:

A game like Flight Simulator X only lets me play on a high resolution (1600*900) so I get unplayable lag. A game like Modern Warfare 3 only lets me play on a low resolution (640*420) so I can't read any of the text or see the game in great detail. The problem is if I go into the game settings and change the resolution, it would say that my on screen resolution has changed when in actual fact it hasn't changed at all. When I said "Although the game says I have" I meant "Although the game says I have changed the resolution".
