Dunno about getting it cheap - I'd imagine somewhere would have it reduced by now though - but you should certainly give it a blast. I'd definitely play this one with you, Felix. I utterly love Borderlands - I haven't stopped playing it since KotaShredz's post!

And yours is indeed a fair description, save for one point: it's 1st person - only the vehicles are 3rd person. The RPG elements add a certain addictiveness, as does the endless loot, but above everything else, it's just a fantastic shooter. The graphics are stunning too, but let me just emphasise: it's a great shooter.

Get it if you've got time/money - I'll come join you with an alt (my main character's about 80% the second playthrough, so is hard as nails).

Yes I do! It's £6.49 on Steam. But only until 6pm today. Although tomorrow's the last day of this stupendously good sale, and last time Steam did a massive sale they put all the daily offers back on sale on the final day. So it may be on there tomorrow as well. But I'm burbling now.

Also...

Since KotaShredz post, I've not only bought, and finished, the Secret Armoury of General Knoxx - which I thought was ace, by the way - but I've completed the game a second time with a new character (the soldier bloke - I played it through first with the siren). I played it pretty much non-stop (when I could actually get to my PC). Brilliant game. Thanks KotaShredz for reminding me!

Why isn't Resident Evil 5 on this list?
