yes the 550w can hold it , but remember that you are buying a pc once in 2-3 years and you dont want to push the PSU to the limits through all that time. getting some head room is always healty and if he decides to overclock he will definitively be able to.
and no need for a sound card , the asrock has fantastic on board.
the only reason to get a sound card is if you are using high end headphones that need an amplifier to juice them up . usually those 200-300$+ headphones.

lol ok - well the 650W is only 18 euro's more than the 550W so that's not really a major difference to say no against. Think i'll just go with the 650 for safety measures. I see it's also a bronze-labeled one so it ain't that bad.

I'm now making a comparison-list - one pc with the cheaper items (550W,i5-3470,1333Mhz DDR3 RAM, gtx560TI) and one pc with the i5-3570K,1600Mhz DDR3 Ram, 650W psu, N580GTX to compare prices. Now I'm trying to see if there's any shop with cheaper prices for certain parts and see if i can save some euro's here and there.

Edit:
nvm, i seem to be unable to find any store that sells the items at a cheaper price than alternate.de guess i'll stay there.

Total cost with the 3570k, 580GTX, 650W and HDD (80bucks) included: 1108.4 euro's. Seems legit.

One final question:
Your suggestions: G.Skill 8 GB DDR3-1333 Kit http://www.alternate.de/html/product/G. ... it/841694/?

can i also use: A-DATA 8GB DIMM DDR3-1600
http://www.alternate.de/html/product/AD ... it/765246/?

and it being compatible with the mobo's and what not else? As I figure that 1600 is better than 1333mhz DDR3. It's only 18 euro's difference

Actually one more question xD:

I got this laptop with win7 home premium - I also have the product key, but as said no OS on a cd. How can i get my win7 os on the new desktop by using the product key i have? (so that it's legitimate) - i still have an XP or vista 32bits version laying around for the laptop so that's np. Just need to get the win 7 on the desktop

I would take this ram
http://www.alternate.de/html/product/G. ... it/140051/?

I also would recommend getting a 600w or 650w for the extra head room.

About the "downgrade" you were concerned about that is how they sell those computers because they get peopel to believe that it is a downgrade. In gaming you won't notice any real difference between the i7 and i5 nor can you even use 16 GB RAM. However even between a GTX 560 and 560 ti you will notice a real difference and even more so with a 580.

If you want to spend the extra money and try to fit a 670 in your budget you won't be disappointed.

You don't want to install a 32 bit OS on this computer, it would be a waste. If that product key is used on the laptop it may or may not work if you try to activate it on your desktop.

Nice ram suggestion, thanks. I'll just take those, saves me 20 bucks and then i only need to throw in 30 more for the 670
http://www.alternate.de/html/product/ZO ... 0/1005685/? this version tho.

This is 100% compatible with the MOBO and CPU/PSU, right? Else i'll just go for the 580
I'm taking the 650W PSU http://www.alternate.de/html/product/XF ... 0W/691356/?

@OS: the laptop has windows 7 64bit installed, with product key but no cd. I'd swap this OS to the desktop by using the product key and - to stay within legal boundaries - I'd then install lower OS on the said laptop. If that's possible by any chance

current price with 670GTX and new ram: 1167,48 euro

i dont like the ram you suggested yeno, it disrupts the whole blackish color scheme that pc has. i mean yea black and red is nice but if you are going for clean black layout i would preferd to stay with it.
also remember that the 670 consumes less power then the 580 so you could go for the 550W and you will still have a big headroom in that PSU , but i would go for the 650W because it can hold 2 670 pretty smoothly and with a SLI ready board getting 2 670 in the future sounds like a good idea.

Yes, I agree on the whole layout thing - however, with that corsair case, you can barely look into it as the side is covered by a 120mm (or 140) led-fan, if i'm not mistaken. Either how, at this very moment I'm more focused on getting as much as possible for the cheapest price whilst still maintaining a decent to good quality.

Especially since I still need that keyboard and if I can't get the OS to run, I might even need a brand new OS on top of it. I also still need a wifi-adapter, hdmi cables and I'm not sure if all components come with the desired cables. I watched a video of Newegg TV (i discovered today) with quite a very similar build to mine and they needed to buy 2 additional Serial ATA Cables to plug in their SSD/HDD's ... or something likewise:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sHlqieM_bgc
They might be just 10bucks a piece or so, but it adds up fast past 50 euro's, especially when counting in the keyboard which will at least be 40euro's

So, counting in those cables, keyboard i'm at a total amount of 1267.48 without the OS and that's really topping my budget I want to spend on this. At least..for now. Might buy some additional parts over the long term but at this very moment that's about it. Already 200euro's more than i planned to give out initially even.
I must admit, however, that for that price I'm A LOT better off than with my initial Medion Stock pc - I also feel much more confident about it.
Fitting it all together doesn't seem to be that hard, i'm just a bit worried about applying the thermal paste on the cpu for the non-standard cpu cooler

@PSU: I'm thinking t just stick to the 650W, not that i think i'll ever need to SLI since this 670 is a major boost to what i was first going with (560 non TI) and will be more than sufficient to run most of the games i'll be playing. On the other hand, getting the 550 is 18 euro's less ...
