1. I live in the U.S.
2. I plan on buying all of my parts from Newegg.
3. My PC will be used for running some of the newer games on at least
standard settings.
4. My budget is around $700, (£446 or €536) this figure is not including OS,
monitor, keyboard etc.
5. No brand preferences.
6. Nothing can be kept from an older machine.
7. I have no idea about overclocking.
8. No resolution preferences really.
I'm not sure if the above steps were necessary, as I've already picked out
each component. The reason I'm posting is because I've never built a PC
before and am not entirely sure that each part I've picked out will be
compatible with the rest.
Also if any part I've picked is unreasonably higher/lower quality than the
rest of my build (i.e. power supply is too weak, graphics card is far lower
quality than CPU).
If there is any major component that I've left out let me know. I'm only
discussing the parts that go in the tower, nothing else like a monitor or a
mouse.
So here are the parts I've picked out:
Motherboard: ASUS M5A97

CPU: Phenom II X4 960T

GPU: GTX 550 Ti

Hard Drive: Samsung Sinpoint F3 HD502HJ

SeaSonic M12II

Ram: G.SKILL Ripjaw Series 8GB

Case: Rosewill Chalenger

All of these including shipping put me at $621.77 (£396.32 or €475.72).
I don't have my heart set on any of these, so I'm not going to be crushed if you tell me one of these isn't that good.
Comments appreciated, thanks!
