Buying First Gaming PC

Postby MorganaPhases » Tue Oct 25, 2011 8:16 pm

I don't know if this is the right section for this. If it's not I apologize. I've been debating whether or not a gaming PC was worth it or not. I use to be one of those people that goes "what's the point of a PC when I could play it on console?" After playing FCOM for Oblivion my mind was changed real quick. So here I am with $2000
to spend on a PC. I plan on buying my PC from http://www.ecollegepc.com/ I don't know anything about part compatibility or bottlenecking so I was hoping someone could build one for me. I built one using the most expensive parts but I don't think that's the right way to go about it. I want a PC capable of maxing any game that is currently out or coming out later this year. Is $2000 enough for this?

Edit - Is there a better place to build/buy PC's from?

Any parts not required? Like mouse, keyboard, monitor etc... And is the pc just for gaming or something else?

PC is strictly for gaming. Everything is required since my current PC is barely hanging on lol.

Nah I don't want to go less. I'm dedicating $2000 for a PC. Lets say Oblivion inspired me  I honestly don't know a thing about PC's so my opinion on how it looks is useless. As long as it does everything I asked it's good to go :D Thank you for your help.

Edit - Thanks again for your help. I just ran the PC by a friend of mine and he said it looks great so I placed the order for it.

If you go with the gtx 580 go for the msi lightning gtx 580. One of the best cards in my opinion! Great budget!

Where are you from? newegg.com is probably the best site, see if they ship to where you live

newegg is best for parts if he is going to build it himself. If he is looking for a custom pc built cyberpower and avadirect.
