Frame rate drops

Postby reaper15058832 » Sun May 01, 2011 11:07 pm

Hi.

Once I could play crysis on max details @ 1366x768 smoothly, but now I get frame drops to under 30fps which causes lags. My pc is an i5 650, 4gb rm and nvidia gtx 570....

Its not temperature and dust.
I updated the drivers
I defragged my pc and ran scan disc
I ran virus and anti spyware checks
I reinstalled windows...

Problem still there, but a bit better...

Any ideas?
In benchmarks of games there is no drops in frames. Even in furmark. Please help.

Devilek: You might remember my previous post about this problem!!!

The first thing I could think is a driver problem but you said you updated.Make sure it is not a BETA version of the nvidia drivers.BUT you re-installed windows so it is not a software problem as it seems.Check the temperature. Also check if 570 is working and you are not working with the sandy bridge graphics chip of your CPU.If it doesnt work the card may be damaged.

How do I know that I'm not working with the sandy bridge graphics chip? Temps are normal. Usually under 60 - 65! Thanks for the reply!

Maybe your pc is full of viruses !!! Run pc on safe mode and start Anti-Virus and scan whole pc. I had the same problem, My Warcraft III frame rate is 65-70 on medium - High settings and somehow it starts to lag i lower the settings and still lag !!! I scanned my pc and it found 4 Malawares

Avast is a good anti-virus program
My friend has that anti-virus and he said that it is great, i use AVG (That it's a little better) and its amazing.
Maybe download the Kaspersky Free edition :)

If you have a genuine windows copy you can also try MSE(MICROSOFT SECURITY ESSENTIALS) ;)
