I'm sticking my vote on replay value. If i'm going to fork out my hard earned bucks on a video game, I would like something more than just a game i spend 10 hours playing and then stick it on the shelf :(

eg: The story line and graphics for Diablo and Diablo 2 were alright but they are not the reason i spent way to much of my "study" time playing them

I would say gameplay and story combined. That really makes the game worth while in my opinion. But I'm also used to high quality graphics, so if you give me a game with bad graphics and a good story and gameplay...I will not play it....only if I have nothing else to do.

Well it seems this is a really hard choice, isn't it? Everyone seems to have a different opinion although most votes are on the story :D

I would say gameplay. No matter how good the story is, if it's boring as hell to play I'm not gonna stick to it.

A long, Good story line and good gameplay is what I value most. That way when I consider what I paid for it I will be satisfied with what I spent.

Story really matters but I vote for gameplay.Graphics is the first thing someone notices in a game but if the ameplay is not good then the game is not good. For example I remember Lost Planet 2.Very interesting story impressive graphcs but gameplay sucks so I stoped playing it.

Gameplay of course, If a game didn't feel right, playing the story would be annoying to progress in, and graphics wouldn't matter because you would be worried about how your character moves/does actions rather than how smooth the textures are.

;) A game is only as good as its story is, only appealing as its graphics are, and only as captivating as its gameplay is. Value in a game can never be measured by its monetary value. All games come down in price. Some buyers perfer higher priced games. I, myself, enjoy a bargain.

I voted gameplay & I'm happy to see that gameplay got more votes than anything else. I wouldn't bother for a game which has a fantastically amazing story but a crappy gameplay!!

nowadays, they say call of duty (new ones, from modern warfare) series story is good, but how about amnesia with not-so-good graphics? that story is insane and that feeling during the game, that is just... awesome. im not bf fan but, in call of duty mw, ops or mw2 OR bfbc2 (in crysis too) you just run, do thing and run, might drive a bit and then fly, and again you will end up running from place to another. that hurts story, even it is well written. but yeah, something like amnesia or F.E.A.R. they made that story just, incredible. those games aint boring at all. think about inides. and, fallout's are great too since after you finish that game you still have alot of things to do.
