great decisions! the 7850 offers the 2gb and has an overall stronger performance then the 560 TI (its stronger then the 570) and the 2 gb will offer a big advantage if you are planning to go triple monitors any time soon.

regarding the triple monitor, a 7850 is a strong card and it has eyefinity support(up to 4 monitors) but it isnt strong enough to pull ultra details on a triple 1080P screens, so if you are planning to get it then go for a crossfire compatible board and add an extra 7850 when you buy the extra screens or play on lower details .

about the mouse, i already bought the Roccat Kone. its a fantastic mouse, very similar to the deathadder in its size (i got big hands) but it has no fancy lights and it has on the fly dpi adjuster. so overall it was the better choice for me :D

Hi,
Thanks again Sauce Boss :)

About this "crossfire compatible board", I"ll choose intel i-5 3500K instead of 3500 ?
Do I need 2 change any other part later on apart from adding same 2nd graphic card for the 3rd monitor?

I'll be using only 1 dell U2412M for now. Will be buying 1more in 2 months and 3rd one in another 2 months to finally get my desired gaming setup.
I heard Dell U2412M supports excellent graphics compared 2 other 24-inch monitors.

Also what power supply should I buy to have the final setup run smoothly? I guess it can't be upgraded unlike RAM and graphic cards once I buy it?

And just to confirm, the configuration I have right now will support 2 Dell U2412M monitors with ultra settings and 3 monitors with decent setting :?: Am I right?

Thanks a lot in advance :) I'm learning a lot now :D

PS : Did I miss a sound card? I need one to watch movies with 7.1 speakers / 7.1 headphones right?

The thing that concerns me is that 2 GB of vram might not be quite enough for an eyefinity set up. Is there any chance you would think about get a 7950 and crossfiring it later?

Hello Therealyeno,

Is adding a second same graphic card called "cross firing"?

I'm not familiar with the stuff u guys are talking about. Actually I thought about buying a PS3+ logitech G27 + playseat to play racing games. Then I cam to know that the latest PC's offer better graphics than ps3, so I decided 2 buy a good gaming PC < 1200$ for the gaming rig.
( I want it to be as real as possible without breaking a bank ). My idea was to spend <2500$ for the total setup.

Now my intention is to play on 3 widescreen monitors like I see on you tube :)
To support 3 monitors with good graphics, if I have to spend more than 1500$ on a gaming rig, I would drop the idea and go for a 40-inch LED TV that costs ~1000$ instead of spending more than 1500$ on gaming rig to support 3 24-inch monitors.

I'm really confused here now. Can u guys please answer the below questions so that I'll get a clear idea about how much I have to spend.

=> I guess the above configuration that costs me ~1000$ will let me play all the currently released racing game with maxed out graphics settings using only 1 Dell U2412M monitor.

=> To add a 2nd monitor, will the same be enough or do I have to upgrade graphic card?

=> If I add a 3rd similar monitor, will the same be enough or do I have to add a second same graphic card to play in ultra setting?

=> IF I have 2 add a 2nd graphic card to support 3 monitors to play in ultra, and If I choose not to add a 2nd graphic card, will I be able 2 play using 3 monitors in decent graphic settings? or 3 monitors would'nt work at all ?

=> If I choose to play using a 40/55/65-inch LED TV , will the initial single graphic card configuration be more than enough?

=> I think I have to add a second 2GB ram to support 3 or 4 24-inch monitors? (Will it even support 4?)

=> Do I have to add/upgrade any other component when I add a second 2GB graphic card?

Thanks a lot :)

PS : Sorry for the long post. Is there anywhere I can learn all this stuff? Since I'll be gaming a lot in the future :)

Hi guys,
About the Dell U2312 and Dell 2412M monitors , 23-inch has 16:9 ratio and 24-inch has 16:10 ratio. Which is better for gaming ? If I buy the 16:10 ratio, when I play games will the screen stretch and the cars will look elongated?

Thanks in advance :)

sorry for the slow response, finals are coming and time is of the essence !
regarding your questions:
-the on board sound card is good enough for the average user, if you are an audiophile get a good sound card.
-the 7850 is strong enough for maxing out any racing game on a single 1080p screen.
-it wont be capable of running 2 screens on ultra details but if you take off aa and msaa and agrea to play on 50ish fps then you are good to go with a single card.
-for a third monitor you will have to add a second card and i would also advice overclocking it alittle bit, the 7xxx are fantastic overclockers and with a click of a button you are getting extra 10-15%.
-3 monitors will work on a single card but it will an hard time pulling 60 frames on medium settings .
-usually those screens offer the same resolution so it will be like playing on a single u2412m, but if you play on a tv that size AA and MSAA is a must!
-the initial 8 gigs is enough , ram isnt helping out in games.
-yes, the cpu is good enough but you need a better board if you want to get 2 cards, the board you have supports single cards only.
-some like 16:10 ratio better, i am using a 16:10 screen and i also use 16:9 screens and i cant see much diffrence, but paying so much more for the 24 screen jsut for that ratio is not smart. also most of the movies this days are using the 16:9 so they will look better on the 23 inch screen.

p.s when i m talking about games i am talking about the most demanding ones and not the older ones. i.e F1 2012 and NFS the run.

Hi SauceBoss,
Thanks a lot mate :)

So my plan is to play using single monitor now. I don't think I can play with 2 monitor set-up bcos the centre bezel will be annoying/blocking the view while racing. So It'll be 1 or 3 monitors.
Hm.. so even to play on a big TV I need 2 7850 cards I guess.
So I'll buy a second card in a couple of months ..

When u said, my board does not support 2 graphic cards.. I think I have 2 buy a board which supports 2 cards now itself right? If so which 1 should I go for? Plz give me a model number.

Basically my aim is to build a set-up with only the essential parts now.(which cannot be upgraded )
I'll add a second graphic card few months later. I may add a sound card too if needed. SSD is also on the list :)
Now what parts should be changed right now , in order to be able to add these parts later on ?

CURRENT CONFIGURATION
Processor = Intel i-5 3500K
Graphic card = AMD HD 7850 2GB
Mother board = MSI P67A-C43 B3 P67
RAM = 2x4 GB 1600 Mhz
Cabinet = NZXT Source 210 Elite USB3 Black
Power Supply = SeaSonic M12II 520W
HDD = 1TB / 2TB @7200rpm
CD Drive = Sony / Samsung
Key Board = Razer Arctosa gaming

Thanks for your time and help. :)

great decisions, high quality board from a fantastic brand( i love asrock), good card with vram to support the multiple display config and a strong enough psu to support even 2 cards.
regarind the storage, SSD is a great option and you can really feel the upgrade in and if you are nto certain of which SSD to buy let me recommend you the Crucial M4 128GB drive, i have 2 of those in my pc and never regreted getting it, needless to say they work fantastic without any BSOD or any hickups .

Hello,
I have made some changes and finalized the configuration again :)

Processor = Intel i-5 3570 K ( Will buy this now and over-clock it when needed after a year)
Graphic = HD 7850 2GB (Will over-clock this too after a year)
RAM = Gskill 2x4 GB (8 GB @1600 MHZ)
Mo Bo = ASRock Z68 Pro3 Gen3
Case = Antec THREE HUNDRED AND TWO
HDD = 1TB @7200 rpm
SSD = 120 GB
PSU = Cossair 800 W Gaming series(Think I need this 800W if I want to over-clock? )
Wi-fi card = Edimax EW-7728In Wireless PCI Card N300 3 Antenna 3 Yr.
CD+DVD Drive = Sony / samsung ( No blue ray needed )
Keyboard = Razer Arctose gaming keyboard
Monitor = Dell U2312HM . Will add a second one after some months.

Now I need a UPS for this PC I have unscheduled power cuts and I have a generator which will be switched on within ~10mins. I'm looking to buy a UPS that will run the PC for ~30 mins. Just to be safe.
I have chosen APC as the brand.

I need to know how much Watts/VA UPS I need for this PC
I have also selected some models in APC, but don't know whether it's good enough or not.

or

Also any idea how long either of these models will run my PC for?

Thanks in advance :)

PS : Is a non-sine wave UPS enough? Sine wave UPS are very expensive
