Back of the Box
Alien Breed: Impact is an explosive science fiction arcade-shooter that resurrects a classic and much revered franchise. Named after the space hulk collision that rocks the ship of the game’s hero Conrad, Impact features an epic story, swarms of highly intelligent alien enemies, high-impact weapons, highly detailed and rich environments; all implemented with superb technology, using Epic Software's Unreal® Engine 3.
Alien Breed: Impact is now tougher and requires more individual exploration than its predecessor. It features expanded customisability, with upgrades available for weapons that can be purchased using cash looted from corpses and lockers. If that isn’t enough to whet your appetite, there are enhancements to the co-operative gameplay experience for you and a shooting buddy, not to mention the “Prologue” campaign, which takes players through an updated and expanded introduction to the world of Alien Breed.

I finished the game (full, not demo) without ever having to look at the map at all and simply following the waypoints. I never had a problem with ammo either since I know one of the main things in the game is conserving ammo and using it sparingly rather than holding down the button and praying and spraying.
I think the game is brilliant and a worthy successor to the Amiga original.

It sure does, but not in the same voice. Which is as good as not saying it at all in my mind.

No mention of 'Habniction' in the demo either.

Blimey, Tough words from our own veteran gamer.

A shame, I was hoping Alien Breed: Impact would rekindle my nostalgia chip.

Just played the Steam demo - it's completely crap. Shadowgrounds: Survivor is far, far better. So, amusingly, is the original Alien Breed.
