LA Noire System Requirements [pc]

Released earlier this year to console this gritty detective game was lauded for its excellent script, story and indeed, face capture technology. Rockstar have now put a November release date down for PC and released the system requirements.

A staunch couple of GD members have come up with the goods on this one, so thanks to Rongxin and Hellfire_zg. Lets take a look at what system we require to run LA Noire on PC...

LA Noire Minimum System Requirements

OS: Windows XP SP3, Vista SP1, Windows 7

CPU: Intel Dual Core 2.2 GHz / AMD Dual Core 2.4 GHz

RAM: 2 GB

GFX: GeForce 8600 512 MB / Radeon HD 3000 Series 512 MB

LA Noire Recommended Systemm Requirements

OS: 64-bit

CPU: Intel Quad Core 3.2 GHz / AMD Quad Core 3.2 GHz

Now that is some hefty recommended requirements. As I continue to mention to all those who are starting to panic, games like this and BF3 are built with consoles in mind. So as long as you have a half decent PC you are likely to get very acceptable performance from this game. The brilliance, though, is that any time you upgrade a single component in your PC you will open another door releasing further potential in all of your games. To me that makes PC ownership AWESOME!

i really don't get it. The grphics of the game is horrible and its only using 30-40% of my GTX 570 on everything maxed out. Why so much demanding requirements?

I doubt it, because this game is demanding, most likely you will be able to run it at high settings with something at ultra with no AA if you get the i3 3220.

Try this tweak, it works for most people:
Open launcher of the game » Options » look at the Command Line box at the bottom » Copy "-str -npd -nonv" (without " " marks) and paste into that box . Also the Renderer box above, choose DirectX 9 (if it's set on DirectX 10 or 11 by default) » OK » Launch Game and see if that improves your FPS.
I have very similar rig to yours and can run LOW-MED smoothly with that tweak, lag without it. Good luck :)

Your cpu is bottlenecking your gpu, so you won't be able to run it at u;tra settings with playable frame rate. I suggest for you high settings with no AA with reduced shadow quality.
