Back of the Box
Frozen Synapse is a thrilling PC and Mac strategy game. It brings the simultaneous turn-based strategy genre bang up-to-date and lets you give detailed, accurate orders to your squad.
Plan your moves, test them out, then hit the "Execute" button: both you and your enemy's turns are executed simultaneously.
Bite-size, critically-acclaimed hardcore strategy with a striking sci-fi aesthetic.
Each match immediately places you in an intense tactical situation: there's no waiting around for the fun part.
Blast a hole in a wall with a rocket and then send in your close-range units, or take a stealthy approach and set up cover with a sniper: your approach is entirely down to your own creativity.

The latest system requirements News for Frozen Synapse
Full system requirements for Frozen Synapse reported on May-23-2011

It seems to be a time of Indie gaming, what with the recent emergent success of Terraria last week and now the awesome looking game known as Frozen Synapse. We have been watching Frozen synapse for about a year now and it is shaping up to be pretty darned fun.

You are given a short amount of time to plot the next 10-20 seconds of strategy against another squad of enemy stick men with various guns. Snipers cover close quarter guys, heavy weapons blow holes in walls and so on. Once the carnage is played out you plot the next handful of seconds. Here is a discription taken from the devs site...

"If you're a fan of classic squad-based games you'll love this..."

Frozen Synapse, the Indie title by Mode 7, has been given a release date for later this week.

The Frozen Synapse release date is 26 May 2011
