Back of the Box
Mortal Kombat is the first M-rated Mortal Kombat game to be developed for the seventh generation of consoles. This is also the first title to include 3D graphics but gameplay solely on the 2D plane. The developers have stated that this is the first game in which they are making a conscious effort to create deeper gameplay for more hardcore players. It is slated for an early 2011 release on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 systems.

The latest system requirements News for Mortal Kombat
Full system requirements for Mortal Kombat reported on Jun-19-2013

Two weeks until Mortal Kombat eventually finds its way to PC after years of eluding our mighty gaming platform. This version will be essentially the same as that of the console and it will include all DLC-s, including 15 suits, three additional classic characters and four new characters - Scarlett, Kenshija, Rain and Freddy Krueger. The PC port was completed by High Voltage Software rather than NetherRealm Studios.

Warner Bros. have decided the time is right to let us know the Mortal Kombat system requirements...

Mortal Kombat Minimum System Requirements

OS: 32-bit Windows Vista or Windows 7 or Windows 8

CPU: AMD Athlon X2 2.8@GHz or Intel Core Duo 2.4@GHz

RAM: 2GB of Memory

GPU: ATI Radeon 3850 or NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT

DX: 10

Mortal Kombat Recommended System Requirements

OS: 64-bit Windows Vista or Windows 7 or Windows 8

CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 965 @3.4GHz or Intel Core i5 750 @2.67GHz

RAM: 4 GB of Memory

GPU: ATI Radeon HD 6950 or NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560

DX: 11

In terms of MK hardware requirements, they seem pretty reasonable. No XP support for Mortal Kombat but otherwise it just needs the old workhorse, 8800 GT on the graphical front.

I think its fair to say that a reasonable 5 year old machine can meet the minimum system requirements.

The game will be priced at a modest $30 and as we know from before, it will be released 3 July on Steam and from 2 August you will be able to grab a physical copy if that is your preference.

May-24-2013 If you're into fighting games, you'll be pleased to hear this; a full edition of Mortal Kombat is coming to PC, with all of the goodies the have already released on the consoles. NetherRealm, the...
