Saints Row 3, also known as Saints Row The Third, is a third-person shooter video game being developed by Volition, Inc. and to be published by THQ for the Xbox 360, Microsoft Windows and PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Portable systems. It is the third title in the Saints Row series, after the release of Saints Row 2 in 2008. It is currently set to be released during Q3/Q4 2011. The game was set to debut at E3 2010 but did not appear to allow developer Volition to rebuild parts of the game. Spike's Video Game Awards in December 2010 were set to include a first look at the game, but developer Volition instead showed their new game, a collaboration with Guillermo Del Toro, inSANE.

Here is an interesting comment made by Volition,

I should also reiterate that the PC version of Saints Row: The Third was made in-house here at Volition, and was in a parallel development cycle alongside the 360 and PS3 versions. It is not a port, and will have exclusive features not found in the other versions.

As always we are going to want to hear your feedback about this once released. Let us know if you can play it, what settings you play on and what frames per second you are getting.

depends on what reso. you run it ? lower it a bit and you should get stable fps.
if not then turn off AA, and tweak other settings like Vsync.

This game has AA turned on on default…. just enter settings turn AA off and max all else. Your rig is great, but if it still drops FPS then probably graphics is messed up. In 80% FPS drops cases its GPU problem.

It's not like an FPS drop, but the framerate is just about 30 when I am driving, and my GPU hasn't had any problems in other games.

Strange…. that GPU should be able to EAT this game. Especially on 1920x1080 with all setting on max even AA. IDk what to say…

I doubt it. Try low settings and a lowered resolution.
Btw RAM is cheap these days.

His ram isn't even the problem here, it's his CPU, thats a extreme bottleneck, I think he won't be able to play it, someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I think you can run ist on low-medium I guess, but because the optimisation is weird because I have on all Settings almost the same except for Ultra.
But you can play this in 1280x720 with 30+ fps.

Help! I don't know why, but the amount of lag doesn't seem to change significantly no matter what my settings are(changing resolution doesn't improve frame-rate, so I sticked with 1360x768). I also experience some kind of opposite to frame drops; most of the time I get around 14 FPS then suddenly it goes to 40+ FPS---

---which lasts for 2 seconds and goes back to 15 FPS. If anyone could at least identify what the problem is, or better yet, solve my problem, I'd be grateful.

So what I am getting is that you are playing at 15 fps and from time to time you are geting 40 fps? That is normal! I am actually VERY surprised that you are able to play this game.

@ZeroHour060, yes, that is correct. I did not know it was normal though. Never in my life have I experienced 60 FPS and 1080p in games. Ever. T^T
