Back of the Box
Saints Row 3, also known as Saints Row The Third, is a third-person shooter video game being developed by Volition, Inc. and to be published by THQ for the Xbox 360, Microsoft Windows and PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Portable systems. It is the third title in the Saints Row series, after the release of Saints Row 2 in 2008. It is currently set to be released during Q3/Q4 2011. The game was set to debut at E3 2010 but did not appear to allow developer Volition to rebuild parts of the game. Spike's Video Game Awards in December 2010 were set to include a first look at the game, but developer Volition instead showed their new game, a collaboration with Guillermo Del Toro, inSANE.

I should also reiterate that the PC version of Saints Row: The Third was made in-house here at Volition, and was in a parallel development cycle alongside the 360 and PS3 versions. It is not a port, and will have exclusive features not found in the other versions.

As always we are going to want to hear your feedback about this once released. Let us know if you can play it, what settings you play on and what frames per second you are getting.

getting like 29-41 fps at aax4 afx16 mid settings… is this normal ? or there is something wrong with windows 8.1 ? i am playing on 1280x1024

0
reapr56
17:59 Jul-21-2014

In my experience, i got lower FPS in win8.1 than in win7
if you want more FPS, try dialing down AF to x4
and crank up the textures to high
also if you want set shadow to low

what if i get windows 8.1 32 bit ? like i just have 3 gb not even 4 so i guess i don't need 64 bit ? and i tried it but afx16 and x4 has no difference

08:16 Jul-22-2014

oh, sorry thought this was the skyrim page
this game isnt well optimized so that might be why you are getting low FPS
and you wont see a performance increase if you change to 32bit :/

All that I see is people asking can i run it in spite of the detailed system requirement give. How about sharing your experience, views etc of the game in the comment section?
Personally speaking this is the best game I have played after GTA SA. Just go for it unless you are pretty bleak person because this is game is all about senseless, crazy fun that keeps you engrossed for hours.

Most say SR2 was the best and I have to agree. Was more janky than 3 but a bit funner IMO. Loved that game. We need these and GTA games both they are 2 completely different styles

the rig that you have provided can not play on any of those games on ultra
so, the logical explanations are that you have not provided your correct PC configuration or that you are just very lucky :/

if you can run on ultra, then thats awesome :)
although you only have 2 cores, not 2 CPU's
and if you think we are wrong take a look on this site, your GPU shouldnt be able to run it on ultra
but hey, its great that you can :D

Thanks for the update! Next time you get some extra cash you should get a new GPU though. It's bottlenecking you're boss of a rig.

haha derp! My bad. That's unfortunate :( Atleast it'll be easier for your next upgrade though you could basically get a motherboard compatible with your CPU and a new GPU and you have a super rig for a couple hundred bucks!
