Downloadable Content
Dear Esther is intiailly released as a download. It is usually an expansion pack so check to see if you need a main game before getting this. Dear Esther may be released in the shops at a later stage
Back of the Box
The player progresses through the plot of Dear Esther via a series of voiced-over letter fragments to a woman named Esther. The game does not directly specify who the narrator is, but there are suggestions he is Esther's husband and that she is dead, killed in an automobile accident. These monologue fragments are triggered as the player reaches certain locations in the game, and are randomly selected for each given location. This random selection of voice-over parts causes a lack of coherency, and forces the player to draw his or her own conclusions. As the game progresses, the readings become more vague and start to contradict one another. Later in the game, the readings begin to allude to the story of Paul on the road to Damascus, which is also the subject of some of the graffiti found painted on the cliff walls.

I really like this game, a good atmospheric couple of hours on a April Sunday afternoon, fit perfectly with the pouring rain outside haha. But no was a bit strange at first playing a game that had no action keys whatsoever but I found I really enjoyed it, and the ghosts creeped me out :s

First 15 minutes of playing at max got my CPU to 90 degrees... o.O And as for the gameplay during that time - I wasn't really impressed. Will hopefully write a review when finished!

I don't know why your temp went so high on cpu? Mines only little bit better and didn't exceed 35 degrees.. oh unless we are talking about different measurement units. C or F?

This is rather late reply, but even though the performance of our CPUs might be similar, there's a big difference - your CPU is a desktop CPU, while I have a laptop. Laptop CPUs tend to run at higher temps due to the lack of free space.

Finally at least some gameplay can be seen! Judging by everything I've seen/hear about Dear Esther, this game will be very good.
