Full system requirements for Dishonored reported on Aug-14-2012

Dishonored, Bethesda's next big title. You are the once-trusted bodyguard of the Empress. Framed for her murder and driven by revenge, you must become an infamous assassin, known only by the disturbing mask that has become your calling card.

Lets take a look at the Dishonored system requirements to see what sort of beast you will need to play it...

Dishonored Minimum System Requirements

OS: Windows Vista / Windows 7

CPU: 3.0 GHz dual core or better

RAM: 4 GB system memory

GPU RAM: DirectX 9 compatible with 512 MB video RAM

GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 or ATI Radeon HD 5850

HDD: 9 GB

Audio: Windows compatible sound card

Enhanced for: 64-bit multi-core

Dishonored Recommended System Requirements

OS: Windows Vista / Windows 7

CPU: 2.4 GHz quad core or better

RAM: 4 GB system memory

GPU RAM: DirectX 9 compatible with 768 MB video RAM or better

GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 / ATI Radeon HD 5850

What do you think about those requirements? It seems the minimum GPU requirements are the same as the recommended requirements and they are pretty high. We have made some adjustments to the Dishonored system requirements tool to reflect our feelings on the specs, but obviously once you guys get your hands on a demo or the game, let us know the frame ratings you achieve with your particular system.

This game is first person stealth… It was one of the best if not the best game of 2012 and the art style is very good… You will not be disappointed if you get this game… Oh and it is not really demanding… My HD 4000 runs it on high settings at 1366x768 and 40 fps average…

GTX 550 ti can max this easily at 60-90 fps even on 1920x1080 resolution if paired with a Core 2 Quad or better… Your old Pentium Dual Core is a bottleneck… You can try tweaked high no problem though…

I think you can try tweaked high at 1280x800 resolution and 40+ fps… GeForce 8800 GS manages that and it is comparable to yours…

Disable FXAA and you might get a slight boost in fps… I get 40+ fps average on the same setting… HD 4000 is actually a little bit weaker than the 9500GT; but I have a vastly more powerful CPU and 3 times as much RAM…

0
upsurge
05:42 Aug-26-2014

I think GTX 745 is OEM ONLY and is just a rebadged GTX 650… notebookcheck managed 90+ fps in this game on maxed out settings with GTS 450 and GTX 650 is about 15-20% stronger…

I run it on high at 1366x768 at 40+ fps… I would suggest medium at 1366x768 for you because I have a stronger CPU and my HD 4000 is higher clocked than yours… Also, do you have single channel or dual channel RAM…? If dual channel, you can try high as well…

Hey thanks for the reply and you were right medium did work for me i had a playable FPS. Also I have a single channel RAM. :)

0
upsurge
05:34 Aug-26-2014

That means you have a single 4 GB stick… Get another RAM module and dual channel it and you will increase your integrated GPU performance… In my case, Crysis 3 went form 19-24 fps average with single channel to 26-32 fps in dual… And Dishonored, CS: GO and DOTA 2 were playable only on medium but now I can run on tweaked high…

You can max this even on 1080p with full AA… Even though your CPU is slightly bottlenecking your GPU (only a little bit though), you can still max this easily with 90+ fps (notebookcheck managed 90+ fps on GTS 450 and HD 5770 is slightly stronger)…

That word bottleneck can get thrown around a little loosely…I say your setup is fine.

0
upsurge
07:54 Aug-25-2014

Eugen123, I only said slight bottleneck… Slight… It's not like you have a GTX Titan or R9 290X… Your E8600 is good enough for a middle class GPU from 2010 such as that one…

Your 2GB of ram is causing this game to probably run on low settings for you. I suggest a CPU upgrade as well, major bottlenecking going on there.
