2K Sports has not revealed a lot of the details for NBA 2K12, but they did have a gameplay presentation with Kobe Bryant at E3 2011. The game will be released on October 4th, 2011. Duck Down Records and 2K Sports hosted a competition for a song placement on the official game soundtrack. The first official teaser commercial for NBA 2K12 debuted on May 31, 2011 on ABC at the beginning of Game 1 of the NBA Finals between the Miami Heat and Dallas Mavericks. [ On July 21, 2011 2K Sports announced that there would be three different covers for NBA 2K12. Michael Jordan, Larry Bird and Magic Johnson will be the three cover athletes. Each will appear on a different version of the game.

NBA 2K12 System Requirements [pc]

Last year EA announced that they were dropping the PC from their EA Sports development arm, the exception of course being Fifa. This leaves the market wide open and uncontested for 2K Sports and their 2K basketball simulator. You know what, despite the lack of competition, 2K bring out their basketball game on all platforms, including the PC, on exactly the same date, nice work 2K. Are you listening Ubisoft?
