Full system requirements for Borderlands 2 reported on Jul-27-2012

A cartoony FPS? Gearbox Software took a design leap with Borderlands and to everyone’s delight, it paid off. The game stood out from the crowd. The stylised black outline around characters and backgrounds, seen traditionally in cartoons, was used to great effect. We are told that part of the reasoning behind this move was so they could push the visual boundaries of console hardware, while lowering the performance hit. Very smart.

What impact does that design choice have on PC gamers in the next game of Borderlands? Well Borderlands 2 system requirements are now available, so lets see shall we...

We had a chance to play the game first hand recently and it was a good laugh for sure, but whether it would require something as hefty as a GTX 560 to meet recommended we are not so sure. Chances are you will be able to play the game with a lesser GPU and a few things turned down a little.

Speaking of which, we took a picture of the graphics option screen, although a little blurry, you can see some of the options that will be open to PC gamers.

Max at your res with 45+ fps. No you can't use PhysX with AMD cards, but you can use TressX though it's pretty useless for the moment, but better than nothing :)

Yes, you'll be able to max this game out but don't turn on PhysX. Although it is possible in this case, it is not optimized for AMD cards and will kill your fps at times. Also, are you sure that's your resolution? It's quite odd...
And one last thing, there is no need to double post, you will get your question answered, no matter what. This is GD, after all :D

Sorry for the double post it was a accident, Btw if my GFX would be compared to a Nivida card in the same power would it be able to run PhysX on max ? And yes this is my resolution its quite odd indeed ! its my monitor xD
auntarie
20:50 May-15-2013

If you had an equivalent Nvidia card then you could have maxed out PhysX. You can do it with this card too but you may not get that flawless gameplay you're after. I'm playing with max PhysX and the effects are so intense at times that my fps drop to about 20.
And what is your monitor, I've never seen one with a res like that :D

If you buy that CPU you should be able to max the game out. I have a friend that plays co-op with me and he is running it on max settings with a Q9400+9800GT, which is the same card as yours, only with a different name. And yes, he is a trustworthy source.

Yes. Although I don't see the point in turning a game that is famous for being the only one that combines FPS and RPG into a regular, third-person one that has been around for a while. At the very least, the graphics of the weapons are amazing.
