Back of the Box
Starcraft 2 is split into three games, each one representing a playable faction.
Protoss, Terran, and Zerg. These three distinct and powerful races will clash once again in the fast-paced real-time strategy sequel to the legendary original, StarCraft. Legions of veteran, upgraded, and brand-new unit types will do battle across the galaxy, as each faction struggles for survival.
Heart of the Swarm features The Zerg
Composed of many different species integrated into the Swarm via zerg infestation. These creatures are rapidly and selectively evolved into deadly and efficient killers to further the driving zerg imperative of achieving absolute domination. The zerg make no use of technology to create their weapons, armor, or starships. Instead, these functions are efficiently fulfilled through biological adaptation and planned mutation of the zerg strains. Even zerg buildings are in fact specialized organs within the living, growing organism of a zerg nest.

Full system requirements for StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm reported on Jan-07-2013

Starcraft II is a little game you might have heard of, particularly if you follow the pro gaming leagues. The latest addon for Starcraft II, entitled Starcraft II: Heart of the Swarm, is due out in March.

The Starcraft II: Heart of the Swarm system requirements are below, so read on and let's see if you can run it...

Starcraft II: Heart of the Swarm Minimum System Requirements

OS: Win XP / Win Vista / Win 7 / Win 8

CPU:  AMD Athlon™ 64 X2 / Intel Pentium D

RAM: 1.5 GB Memory

GPU:ATI Radeon X800 XT /  NVIDIA GeForce 7600GT

DX: 9.0c

HD: 20 GB Free Hard Drive Space

Starcraft II: Heart of the Swarm Recommended System Requirements

OS: Win 7 / Win 8

CPU: AMD Athlon 64 X2 5000+ / Intel Core 2 Duo E6600

RAM: 2 GB Memory

Graphics: ATI Radeon HD 4850 /  NVIDIA GeForce 8800GT

HD: 20 GB Free Hard Drive Space

So just like in the previous addon pack, recommended specs have dropped Windows XP altogether. It's worth checking out the mammoth 20GB HD space you're going to need, though.

Despite suggestions that Starcraft II: Heart of the Swarm was going to have the same requirements as Starcraft II: Wings of Liberty, there has been a slight hike in requirements. So if you're a keen Starcraft II player, be sure to tread with care.

this game doesn't use more than 2 cores and his cpu is a great dual core so yeah, it will be slower than some quad cores and some other dual cores, but you'll be fine.

Runs best on Intel, but yeah you probably could. I can run it on Extreme Settings and still have 60+ fps. Even higher in certain Arcade games.

Sorry, what do you mean by "higher minimum fps"? The reason Intel runs better on this game is because Intel CPUs are lightly threaded, compared to AMD being heavily threaded. I never said you couldn't run it at max settings either.
