Crysis has been a benchmark for pushing PC hardware to the extreme. Crysis 2 eased off in its requirements and now we have Crysis 3. Which way will it go?

Ok, now this is the spot where I normally tell you not to panic because they have coded the game to run on the old hardware based consoles (Xbox 360 / PS3).
This will still be the case and we expect lots of FPS to be added for machines that even reach below the official Crysis 3 minimum requirements listed above so you will be able to make a judgement call for yourselves, plus we will benchmark the game ourselves also, on Old Bessy.
GD Crysis 3 advice
We suggest with this one that if you want to play Crysis 3 then do yourself a favour with this one. After we saw the difference with Far Cry 3 on PC compared to XBox 360, now is the time that the PC really is pushing far ahead. As the console is still the focus for development, it means that developers are trying very hard to make sure that their games are playable on old hardware, but they need the games to look and shine better than the competition and the only way to do this is to use the latest hardware that is only available in PCs at the moment.
This means the PC gamer is likely to net a significant win during this next year or two. If you have an aging PC then the games are likely to still run and if you have an awesome PC then you are likely to get a visual treat that is not available anywhere else.
We have had a blast at Crysis 3 already and it looked great. Our advice, if you are going to upgrade for Crysis 3 then hold off until around the end of January 2013 and then grab yourself a GPU upgrade. If you have loads of money then of course go with one of these - US or UK
