I really, really like photoshop, but the rating is based on the actual program so the value is extremely poor, who wants to spend 600 dollars on this? =\

I know that students get a hefty discount. I can get a copy for about $200 instead, and the tools in Photoshop cannot be matched.

Well, there are some free little tools for photos.Of course if you are pro photographer and you make no compromises Adobe Photoshop is for you.

Yeah that's not how I use photoshop, I make personal graphics with it and I really can't find anything else that suits it well. Photoshop meets the requirements perfectly but again, it's just too expensive :(
