this looks sweet, although it might be pushing my rig to the limit
admin i hope you willl help me with my problem. i have amd phenom ii x4 945 processor and where is the list of games there shows me that my processor passes the recomended requirements for dirt 2 but when i press on the game to watch more information on the botom of the screen it shows me the red cross below my processor which means that my processor doesnt meet the recomended requirements. how should i understand that? does my processor pass the recomended requiremnts for the game?
Hi Dariuslak, Thank you for that.
The 'check your specs' tool looks at your whole system. Your system is very good and should be able to run the game fine, which is why you are getting a green tick in the checker tool.
Cont.
In the profile section at the top we compare your system to the games recommended requirements by individual components
AND SO
The DiRT 2 recommended processor is the Intel i-7 920 which is benchmarking at nearly 1.7 times over the Phenom II X4 945. This is why the red cross is appearing.
So it would seem that your graphics card+cpu+ram are collectivley good enough to meet the recommended figures
Hope this helps
Thanks
Does this have much straight-up rallying? You know the score: you and co-driver, alone in a forest, pushing your brutal machine to the limit against the clock - that sort of thing?
Dirt 1 was a bit of a disappointment to me cos there was too much non-rallying. I'm not interested in Rally Raid, etc. I want my rally games pure (like the early Colin McRae games).
the recommended is a i7 but i have a i3 530 + hd 4850 and i can run the game at 1680x1050 with 2x aa and have 45-60 fps :D
Thanks BG1978, thats exactly the sort of iinformation everyone needs to hear. We often find the recommended system requirements are a gross over estimate and Game-Debate reviews games when it can to make its own adjustments to the recommended system requirements we report.
With additional information from our awesome visitors like you we can make further adjustments to help everyone. Cheers!
