The Secret World first came to us three years ago with a very memorable FMV trailer starring a gorgeous female, modern-day ninja litterally coming face to face with some otherworldly monster. This certainly captured our interests. Check it out if you havent done already.

The idea behind Funcom's MMORPG is that every myth and urban legend actually has truth behind it. The system requirements for an MMORPG seem pretty high to us, but if that is the case then we may be in for a beautiful experience. Lets take a look at The Secret Worlds system requirements...

The Secret World Minimum System Requirements

OS: Windows XP (SP 1)/Vista (SP 1)/Windows 7 (SP 1)

CPU: 2.6 GHZ Intel Core 2 Duo or equivalent AMD CPU DIRECTX DirectX 9.0c Compatible

GPU: nVidia 8800 series 512 VRAM or better/Radeon HD3850 512MB or better

RAM: 2GB RAM for Windows XP / 3GB RAM for Windows Vista and Windows 7

HDD: 30GB or more free hard disk space

DVD-ROM: 8X or faster DVD drive (Only needed for installation)

OTHER: 512 KBPS or faster Internet Connection, Keyboard & Mouse

As we said, these seem a little steep for an mmorpg system requirements so we are looking to hear back from you as soon as you have tried it.

I am looking to upgrade my rig can anybody tell me what graphics card, CPU, Ram etc i shuld get to be able to play on high to maximum settings for the secret world and weather or not it would be cheaper to just buy a new computer.

I'm able to play this at 1366x768 with all settings on low, but my fan gets really loud. Have to play with headphones, but I worry about what it's doing to my CPU.

Download a program called CPU-Z. Basically what is does is show you all the things about your CPU, like clocks, temperature and so on, so my suggestion is to play Secret World and after around 30 minutes just check out CPU-Z and look at your temperatures, if it's over 80 degrees it could be getting a bit too hot.
So if it is you should get a program that can let you manually change the fans on your computer, (EVGA Precision, MSI Afterburner) If it's still too hot after you turn your fans onto their maximum, I'd really recommend getting a new fan..

i downloaded this game a wee while ago and played it on the laptop i uploaded the specs for and whilst i had to turn the settings down it seemed to run pretty much ok, though my daughter tried on her pc yesterday and was let down by her gpu , has there been any updates since i played it on my lapt
