A great processor is a must for this game, there will be lots of units and they will all be calculating their movements and actions with your processor, so definitely something 40-50% better than my current one, your graphics card is fine though ;) FPS will be about 40+ at high settings as a rough idea with a normal amount of units on screen together. It is badly optimized so when you do buy it, on steam there will be another game that says Beta after it, that is patched better so download it after you dl the full game.

Maybe with everything on low and a lower res, but it's not greatly optimized. So it's not worth it with that rig. Sorry!

I use a fairly old rig myself (7 years old) so I don't know much about new hardwares. Other people may have better suggestions than me.
You should write a blog asking for help about buying/putting together your new rig. Specify budget, games you want to play on it, brands reference (nvidia, ati, intel, amd, etc.) You should get responds fast. Good luck :)

Yeah, what Assassin said, get a better GPU and it'll help a ton. Your FPS will drop if there's lots of stuff going on as well. No need for a CPU upgrade yet anyway. :)

Yes, I can get away with shadows/AA you could mix both High/Ultra. Make sure to edit launch options for better CPU utilization, I'll help more if you need it :)

I'm in the middle of making a campaign, any few people who'd like to test some missions for me? I'd be grateful :) It requires ACE & ACE SoundFX, also you need the two CBA files (CBA & CBA for OA) to make ACE work.
.
Here is the link to one 70% completed mission:
http://www.mediafire.com/?c3sojyga2u50kkr,f4l09avqudfk9oe
.
Test that and reply back to me with what you think. Thanks!

Depends...
Your GPU will have no problem hitting 60 fps easily, only arma is badly optimized.
In a wasteland server with 90/120 people u shud be expecting 25/35 fps but that will be worst case scenario. You probs will get most of the time 60 fps so dont worry.
