same steps for the Steam version? I tried many steps out there but none seems to have fixed it. I can try windowed. someone said it was Windows 8 causing it. I updated my drivers from Nvidia so see how it goes

I believe so, I have the steam version myself and this was the only thing that has worked, they released a small patch today which hasn't seemed to fix anything. After browsing around online the issue seems to be 1 of 2 things, the current Nvidia Drivers (newest one supporting LotF) or a memory leak within the game.

Hey Veks, so after a few hours of messing around I have gotten the game to a very playable state, I am currently running it on 1080 in borderless windowed mode, max settings with physics off and get about 70fps, I turned fps cap and v-sync off in both .ini file locations (steam and document location) very enjoyable now

As long you have a good RIG, you can always try for Ultra settings, and for FPS, I think it will be 35+. Good luck btw mate ;)

I don't know if it has good SLI support but I would imagine you should be fine on med or high settings. Med maybe for better fps.

From what I have read performance is all over the place, I haven't experienced any choppiness but due to the memory leak my game freezes every 5-10 minutes, however switching to windowed mode prevents this from happening, also turning off the physics has helped a lot of people with fps drops and choppiness.

Try at Low settings with all options off, with 1920x1080 first, and when you can't get a playable FPS, then lowering your reso is the only solution. ;)

i cant play the game at all. It's really unstable. My fps never goes above 30, even on low settings and the fps drops constantly from 30 to 0. They really need to patch it.

Try turning off the physics in the settings, also remove the fps cap in the .ini files (both if steam version). With the fps cap and vsync on I was getting around 40fps in windowed mode but after removing the cap I jumped to around 70 (higher fps in fullscreen but my game freezes every 5-10 min in this mode).

I'm no expert but isn't VSync tied to your monitor refresh rate? A 60hz monitor (or tv) with vsync will cap at 60fps, whereas a 120hz would cap at 120fps, it seems most console ports have the 60fps cap in place which can usually be removed through the .ini files if there is no ingame option.

Also I have noticed the game doesn't like to save its settings, and will often return to some sort of default, I usually have to turn off physics and vsync everytime i start it up, some people have been saying to set your physX processor to your cpu through your NVidia control panel will help as well.

I tried it on my Rig on Very High settings and it was kinda choppy. looked great but kinda choppy. i guess it's not fully smoothed out yet. You might encounter a little more choppiness than me though comparing our rigs.
