Back of the Box
This new generation of zombies is deadlier and hungrier, so drive fast and look alive. Pick up whatever you can along the way, strap it to something else, and call it a weapon. The end of the world has never looked so fun. Only on Xbox One.
Dead Rising 3 follows new protagonist Nick Ramos and his attempt to survive a massive zombie outbreak in the fictional city of Los Perdidos, California.[3] Unlike previous Dead Rising installments, which took place in a relatively contained mall setting, Dead Rising 3 is set in a vast, open world city environment which is reportedly larger than the worlds of Dead Rising and Dead Rising 2 combined

For everyone who asks about settings the answer is one!
Don't freking play it!!!! They are just exploiting us with high requirements just to buy the most expensive hardware!!!
If we stop playing games like these eg (watch dogs, dead rising, son of rome, and other games with nonsense requirements ) they will be forced to make them better optimized!
Personally i wont let my shelf giving my money to them to purchase a crappy quality game
PEOPLE WAKE UP

P.S. Sorry for the rage i meant no offence for gamers :)

Good point, I also find it weird how a lot of people blindly pre-order games and then complain about the game not being worth it. But hey, that's none of my business.

Not buying the PC port may say gamers are tired of bad ports, but it also tells companies gamers are no longer interested in PC games. So you kill PC games.

Although I agree with the tech moving forward. Poorly optimized games do nothing for the community. Plus, limiting your sales base to only those that can afford or already have high-end rigs isn't smart business. Also, in the end, this will hurt the future of the tech as it's not being utilized in creative ways. It can take years for high end cards to reach their true potential.

I personally don't see a point in rushing through development, having the game run like rubbish on most low/medium level rigs and have the easy way out of labelling the game "next-gen", especially when they're not.

Give it a year or so and you'll start seeing "Mass Effect 2" like games of the last generation on the new that are truly next-gen. Can't wait.

ZeroHour060

I would rather wait a few extra months after a game releases for consoles to have a well optimized port. Well said. :)

You sir, are a moron. If a game had graphics more than twice as good as Crysis 3, I would not complain that it needs a GTX 570. I have a GTX 570m and can play Crysis 3 near max with excellent frame rates. This does not look half as good.

As a lot of people have said, myself included, this game isn't about in your face graphics, its under the hood tech that is being showcased. Yes, this game is badly optimized for some configs. I had a relatively flawless experience. So yeah. Take it for what it is, Games will improve soon.

I think this is a bit tinfoil hat.

The reality is new platforms take time to develoup and new rendering technologies take time to become… efficient. They need to approach each change in tech from another angle and find the way in which to utilize the changes in ways that minimize overall performance hits.

Give it a year and you'll see devs bringing out optimized games that run smooth.

To be honest I don't think that is their intent, with that said, it is going to happen eventually. Next-gen games are coming and even those that have "high end" rigs at the moment are not assured of perfect results when maxed.

My suggestion to most people is wait till the next generation of amd/nivdia gpus drops on market and pick up the 780ti's/290x's discounted.

I'm sure a lot of companies will use the "next-gen" blanket excuse for poorly optimized games but this early into a technological cycle can you really expect anything different?

Look back towards previous generational shifts and you can see clearly that for the first year or so games are buggy. Whether this be because shareholders want to see the profit or -

The development teams themselves are failing to put resources into it is yet to be seen.
Saying a game is horrible just because the framerate dips isn't fair, especially when a game like this one has a crazy crowd rendering tech. Agreed, it's a bit of a hog, but that will change over time. There will be a patch to fix it.
I can name at least 10 games that have done post-release patches like this

I couldn't say. Could be the games optimization (which in this case I believe needed work) or something on the users end to do with the pc setup, probably a mix of both.

Personally, I purchased this game only because I wanted to see the new tech in action. Zombie games don't interest me. I didn't have an issue with dips, until the action on screen became so crazy and even I was lost in it all.

It shouldn't be about buying new hardware. Make choices in future proofing hardware. Purchase each component in a sort of "stepped" manner. You'll notice that each type of component are (generally) released apart from eachother unless they're designed for a certain platform. So when the latest and greatest hits, by the second best discounted. It'll be good for a year or two after that.

Then for arguments sake, move onto the cpu, same again. Rinse and repeat for the mobo, ram, hd's etc and by the time it comes around to the next gpu upgrade, the new series will be out and your current one will be hitting tweaked high on the new titles of games :)

If you time it right, you'll never be on the low end of gaming hardware and it'll remain cheap. :)

A few people ditching these poorly optimised games wont matter. For every single person boycotting these games there are 10 who will buy these games. How many of us will ignore AC Unity which sure as hell will be poorly optimised or GTA V?

Most likely around high settings. And there is absolutely no need to post multiple times like that…

There may be a slight bottleneck at your current resolution, but I don't think it's anything too bad. And you should technically be able to run it on low without too much trouble.
