So is windows 8 worth the upgrade? My dad just bought a laptop with windows 8 on it and he hates it because he needs to sign in with a windows/hotmail account… is this true?

It is the best and better than windows 7 because the aero is not there in windows 8.1 so it reduces ram and cpu usage to a less extent and gives a performance boost!

I've had this issue with both 8 and 8.1. I've tried the 820 and 826 drivers. With 826.41, I have the options to make my task bar only appear on the center monitor (which works), and do make windows only maximize to the monitor their localized to. The later doesn't work. Even with this feature enabled, they still span across all three screens. Without Surround enable, my secondary monitors don't shut off if I play a game in standard 1920x1080 Reso
