Three quarters of a year ago this genre bending game by Obsidian was due to release. A SEGA rep took a look at it and said that this Espionage RPG was not RPG enough. That was all it took, back to development. Well lets hope the game has really enjoyed some loving attention over these past 9 months.
We will have our top agent investigating and reporting just as soon as he can prise it from SEGA's quality control department. Until then here is the latest on the system requirements.

For a little background reading here is an Alpha Protocol preview
Please see my comments on Alan Wake for an accurate summary of how I feel right now.
The official site, and SEGA store still have the release date as October (as does Steam), so your bile may be spared Squee.
Although if it is delayed, do you reckon CoD 6: Modern Warfare 2 Turbo 3 has anything to do with it? That's due out in November and some publishers are terrified of releasing games around that mother.
Agh! Still no word on this possible slippage! I can't take the tension! It's like the eliminations at the end of an episode of Strictly Come Dancing!
It's looking more likely that this has slipped...

When there's a bomb about to go off and destroy Wyoming, Bond doesn't get to just add six months onto the digital countdown! These people know NOTHING about being spies! Events are supposed to take place in real-time!
Gah. Q2 2010? This is fast becoming a bigger joke than Diablo 3. Are there any good games still coming out this year, or will Batman have to last us 'til we're shivering under the duvet with a new year hangover?
SLIPPAGE!!
I blame Smersh.
Equally it could be Smash, the popular instant mash product from childhood times, that's to blame. The lead developer likely found an old packet and subsequently choked to death on the contents during a frantic midnight feasting session.
Whatever, the gits better bring it out soon :(
Well that's made my day! Roll on late May!
We have this one set aside for you Squee. If they fail with it now I fear you may explode. Fingers crossed.
I will. I promise, I'll explode. In low earth orbit, releasing a pulse of such awesome magnitude that it will fuse all of your lovely expensive graphics cards. You hear me, Game Debaters? You better all hope this game comes out or it'll be a Squee EMP for y'all!
I'm so excited about this imminent release, sometimes I don't think about Splinter Cell: Conviction for minutes at a time.
very bad news to all people who want to play this game when it comes out.Looks like Sega saw what Ubisoft did so they decided they will do it too.You know the satans DRM.The Good news is that Sega learned from Ubisoft mistakes.
