Back of the Box
Welcome to the world of DayZ, hit by a new and presently unknown infection which has wiped out most of the world's population. You are one of the few that have survived and now you must search this new wasteland in order to fight for your life against what is left of the indigenous population now infected with the disease. Go solo, team up with friends or take on the world, as you choose your path in this brutal and chilling landscape using whatever means you stumble upon to survive.
This is DayZ, this is your story.
DayZ is a gritty, authentic, open-world survival horror hybrid-MMO game, in which players follow a single goal: to survive in the harsh post-apocalyptic landscape as long as they can. Players can experience powerful events and emotions arising from the ever-evolving emergent gameplay. There are no superficial tips, waypoints, built in tutorials or help given to players. Every decision matters, there are no save games, no extra lives, every mistake can be lethal. If you f

Full system requirements for DayZ Standalone reported on Dec-17-2013

DayZ has taken its merry time shuffling its way to a full retail release, but the zombie-slaying online survival sim has finally made its way to Steam with an early alpha release of DayZ Standalone.

DayZ Standalone is the follow-up to the incredibly popular Arma II mod, DayZ, pitting you and dozens of other players up against impending zombie doom. Already featuring over 230km² of landmass, this looks like one not to miss. So be sure to check the DayZ Standalone Alpha System Requirements to see if your PC gives a double-tap to the zombie hordes or gets its brains devoured by the masses...

GPU RAM: 1 GB Graphics Memory

GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 560 or AMD Radeon HD 7750

HDD: 14 GB Free Hard Drive Space

The minimum requirements on DayZ look to be very reasonable for a game on this scale. Anyone who met the recommended requirements for the original DayZ mod should be comfortable playing this game.

The minimum requirements for DayZ standalone require the classic Nvidia GeForce 8800GT and upwards, as well as a dual-core processor clocked at at least 2.4GHz. It's worth bearing in mind that the more chaotic things get in DayZ the more your system's going to struggle. Those of you with PCs neared the minimum requirements will be fine during the slower-paced parts of the game but once it heats up may struggle to keep pace.

The recommended settings are a  bitof step up, with the extra hard drive space evidently going to higher resolution textures which will be more demanding on systems. DayZ is fairly CPU dependent so having a higher-tier processor could also make a huge difference. Joining those larger servers it's probably best to have more than the minimum 2GB of RAM but overall this game isn't overly demanding for what it is, with the Arma II engine the game is based upon now over four years old.

The 8320 is OBVIOUSLY better than the 6300, but from someone who is currently using the 6300, it is an AMAZING choice, very high clock speeds, 6 physical cores, 6 logical cores. highly suggest it, high frame rates for a low price.

probably going to be low i would suggest upgrading your CPU since this game is more CPU intensive then anything. I run on low 1920 x 1080 and i get around 30-45 but this goes down to 20-25 in citys. they are changing engines soon though.

Having a pentium isn't going to help much with modern games… Even if it is high power. I suggest and agree with Killer3 that you should upgrade dat CPU. Your GPU is fine for now on less GPU demanding games like this.

You would probably not get a very different experience than I do, I get about 20 or so Fps in towns but it varies the situation and about 40 - 55 solid in areas like fields and small villages, the amount of players will make a difference too, when I go on empty servers to get loot I can sometimes get 30+ in towns
