Mini ReviewGeForce GT 720M is an entry-level GFX still based on the Fermi architecture.
It's based on the Fermi GF117 Core, which is manufactured with a 28nm technology, does comes optimized for lower power consumption and is expect to produce less heat and offers 96 Shader Processing Units, 16 TMUs and 8 ROPs, on a 64-bit memory interface of DDR3. The central unit runs at 938MHz and the memory clock operates at 900MHz.
Its performance lies, therefore, somewhere between GeForce GT 625M and GeForce GT 630M. In smaller resolutions, it should perform considerably better but the 64-bit bus width will become a bottleneck for superior resolutions (720p+).
GeForce GT 635M is a middle-class mobile GPU still based on the 2010 Fermi architecture.
It's based on the Fermi GF106 Core and offers 144 Shader Processing Units, 24 TMUs and 24 ROPs on a 192-bit memory interface of 1.5GB DDR3. The central clock runs at 675MHz and the memory clock operates at 900MHz. Expect a power consumption of up to 35 Watts.
Its performance is above the average and actually higher than the GDDR5 variant thanks to the higher SPUs, TMUs and ROPs count and because extra bandwidth does not benefit this GPU largely and so the GDDR5 is essentially bottlenecked by the GPU's processing power.
Therefore expect to run some modern demanding games at high settings with fluent frame rates (30+) using a 1080p resolution.
