GeForce GTX 965M 2GB Equips the GPU Codenamed GM204-N16E-GS which is a Second Gen Maxwell GPU and has 8 SM activated. It offers 1024 Shader Processing Units, 64 TMUs and 32 ROPs.

The central unit runs at 924MHz and goes up to 950MHz, in Turbo Mode.

Memory: Speed
The GPU is equipped with fast GDDR5 and Accesses the Frame Buffer through a 128-bit Memory Interface. The Memory Clock Operates at 1253MHz.

The Frame Buffer was doubled to 2GB. This is adequate for 1080p Gaming in most Games.

Performance
GeForce GTX 965M 2GB proves to be incredible fast at resolutions up to 1920x1080. In fact, even at 1920x1080 it matches the older GeForce GTX 870M.
Above 1920x1080, GeForce GTX 965M 2GB's performance decreases significantly and becomes further distant from the higher positioned GeForce GTX 970M.
Nevertheless, all modern games should run comfortably at 1080p. It can be said its performance lies somewhere between a desktop GeForce GTX 660 and a Radeon R9 270 which are both powerful Graphics Cards.

As usual, SLI relies a lot on proper driver support and may suffer from micro-stuttering in lower frame rates (below 30). Benchmarks indicate the performance is overall, about 35% better than a single GeForce GTX 675M performing by itself but at times (depending whether or not the 3D game supports SLI or in the graphics driver) it performed worse than a single GeForce GTX 675M.
Even the most demanding games will run at the highest settings.
