GeForce GTX 650 1GB Review

GeForce GTX 650 1GB is a fast-middle-class GFX based on the 28nm Kepler architecture. It's based on the Kepler GK107 Core (same used on GT 640) with a count of 384 CUDA Cores (just like GT 640) but paired with fast GDDR5.
Therefore, GeForce GTX 650 1GB can be addressed as a fast GeForce GT 640 paired with fast GDDR5.
Gaming benchmarks indicate its performance is about 1% better than previous generation - GeForce GTX 550 Ti which might not make it a worthy replacement due to its extra cost and that the most demanding games (Metro 2033, The Witcher II, etc) still require reduced settings while modern demanding games (Battlefield 3, Max Payne 3) are playable at high settings but not paired with extreme resolutions.

I overclocked mine to +200MHZ on core clock and +350Mhz on memory clock and +25 on voltage. I got about 5 FPS more on games like Grid 2, benchmarked and and the average is 40 FPS on ultra 720p, before was 35 FPS. The temperatures keeps about 65-67ºC.

If its true what you say, and you can run that OC 24/7 then thats an increase of about 20% percent.

A let reply, but still. It's the same if it isn't overclocked out of the box and hasn't got a new cooling system. You should check PNY website and find your card there.

The cooling system looks the same as the reference to me,and since the base clocks are in default, your card is the same as the reference card.

For maximum performance on latest games, is needed that the video card work always in 100% of load, it's no problem at all. You need a very powerful GPU for run the latest games in less than 100%. But if your CPU is in 100%, it's a problem.

I've had this card for about a year now with no problems, still runs like new. I have heard of people having issues with it after about 3 years though. It is a great card for the price.
AC:black flag runs at max settings 1920x1080.

Thanks I know that. My OC card is 4% better but some say that this card cannot get as good as the GTX 650 due to it being a non GTX card.
Its just that I would want to know some real performance comparison and not a technical one. :D
