Radeon HD 6990M Review
Radeon HD 6990M is a high-end GPU based on the 40nm Terrascale 2 architecture and not a dual-graphics solution, despite its naming.
It's based on the Barts Core (therefore related to Radeon HD 6870) and offers 1120 Shader Processing Units, 56 TMUs and 32 ROPs on a 256-bit memory interface of fast GDDR5. Its central clock runs at 715MHz and the memory clock operates at 900MHz.
Despite being based on the same Core used on Radeon HD 6870, its performance is more comparable to Radeon HD 6850 due to being heavily underclocked.
Today's modern games are playable at the highest settings but a few exceptions will require lower resolutions or modest presets to be played optimally.

It shows that my GTX 580M is 28% slower. This however is not true. Se here http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gtx-580m-sli-hd-6990m-crossfire,3022-12.html

That's in Crossfire and Sli. So obviously it is different depending on how the two systems of dual graphics cards are set up, which are very different considering they are two DIFFERENT companies.
