Radeon HD 7950 Vapor-X OC Edition Game Requirement Analysis

Radeon HD 7950 Vapor-X OC Edition is a special edition of the Radeon HD 7950. See the standard's version page to know more about it.
The new features include a core-clock raise from 800MHz to 850MHz (900MHz in Turbo Boost) which can be of 950MHz in "lethal mode" (via BIOS). A new cooling system called Vapor-X was installed which should keep Radeon HD 7950's temperatures low under extreme loading.
The performance boost is around 4% and 7% when compared to standard Radeon HD 7950 in normal and lethal modes, respectively.

I have a 600W PSU and an Athlon II 760K 100W. Is my PSU enough to max out the abilities of this card ? Thanks in advance !

There are quite a few users who complain about this card, mostly about its OC capabilities. Sapphire lead us to believe that when pressing that little button near the Crossfire connectors, the card should OC itself from 850 to 950 Mhz in demanding apps. Mine doesn't. So I just manually took it to 1000 Mhz and also took the Power setting to 10%. Did this in CCC. 31 degrees in idle and 66 under load. In Crysis 3 it went up to 69, just like the CPU.

Could someone recommend me any AM3+ motherboard with reasonable price that could handle this graphics card? As you can see I am really not into computers that much. :)

any 990fx or 990x motherboard, I'd go with the sabertooth 990fx if you can afford it, a cheaper alternative would be the ga-990fxa-ud3

Sabertooth is a high end mobo, for multi GFX setups and very high OCing(only achievable with liquids)
He shouldn't get anything more expensive than the 990fxa ud3 unless he has more money than he can spend, LOL :D

Or he can get a MB like mine, pretty cheap and good enough if he's not into OC'ing, like me.
BTW, we're answering after 2 months from his post :P He might have already got what he was looking for…

use the method 975-850=125
125/850*100=14% which you can just say is 15% OC enjoy

So the overall overclock is 12,35% i think.
Because:
975-850=125
125/850x100=14.7%
and
1375-1250=125
125/1250x100=10%
and then 14.7%+10%= 24.7%/2= 12.35% i think thats all right :D

Both are good, but the 3570K is the best one for this card :)

I check the 3dmark scores, search 3dmark-search on google, and you can enter the CPU and GPU and see other peoples results, if the difference is major get the 3570k
3570k+7950=gets around 13000-14000
3470+7950=gets around 10000-11000
