GeForce GT 740M Review
GeForce GT 740M is a middle-class mobile graphics card based on the 28nm, Kepler architecture.
It's based on the Kepler GK107 Core and offers 384 Shader Processing Units, 32 TMUs and 16 ROPs, on a 128-bit memory interface of DDR3. The central unit runs at 810MHz (890MHz in Turbo Mode) and the memory clock operates at up to 900MHz.
Its performance is therefore similar (though slower) to the DDR3 Variant of previous GeForce GT 650M and so most modern games will run at medium or high settings. Its power consumption should be lower, thanks to the power optimizations.
This Graphics Card needs to be paired with an average Quad Core CPU and can only achieve fluent frame rates at 1366x768.
