Radeon HD 7870 XT Sapphire Edition Game Requirement Analysis

Radeon HD 7870 XT Sapphire Edition is a special edition of Radeon HD 7870 XT (not to be confused with Radeon HD 7870). Refer to Radeon 7870 XT's page to know more about it.
This edition features a new cooling system but has no overclocking out of the box and so it performs exactly like the reference Radeon HD 7870 XT.

Yes it would be…and keep in mind that this card is like 7950 ( R9 270X ) well not similar but aboud 5-10% slower.

I used to game all the time on this card, I could even run Watch_Gods when I over-clocked the card.

I bought this card 3 days ago and when windows start its temperature is rising between 70-80 degrees of celcium and i tried it with hitman absolution and f1 2012 and it wasn't running smoothly at high settings,i had to change to medium settings like i play the games with my former gpu gigabyte radeon hd 7750 oc version 1gb memory.I sent it to the service center of the shop and they told me today that the gpu's behaviour is normal, your opininon?

I would say this has to do with your CPU bottlenecking your GPU.
But the difference between yours and the recommended is 10%.
I would suggest downloading the application profiles from here :
http://sites.amd.com/us/game/downloads/Pages/crossfirex-app-profiles.aspx
This will increase performance on certain high profile games.
Hope this helps.

I don't think it's a bottleneck, they are both 28% worst than my CPU+GPU

Eventually the problem was solved by installing the drivers from the cd that was in the box and not the latest version of catalyst drivers!!

Amd catalyst bug…Uses graphic's card power and then you cant play :D and degrees up to 83celcius :) Can be fixed by uninstalling catalyst and reinstall the drivers without the catalyst :)

I only think there will be a minor bottleneck, not really noticable, I had that q8200 and it's a great CPU, also the CX500w is good for that PC.

It worth to upgrade my current GPU to this ? or I should go for a Sapphire Radeon HD7950 Boost Dual-X? There will be any bottleneck on GPU side ?

TBH your GPU is a decent one, if anything, the only worthwhile upgrade is the GTX 770 or above, or the 7970. it's just not worth it.

In this case I would wait until next year for HD8000 or HD9000 and maybe a new PC, that will have a I7 too.

DAAAMN…i was upgrade my GFX with this card on monday this week but evidently my 2500k doesn't support PCIe 3.0 controller :( ….i should save my money for new CPU. But this card is really fast when you overclock it. You can overclock this card up above 1000MHz with ease.

both are good card, but both if them would be bottlenecked by the cpu. I'd say go for the 7850 since it has very good price/performance ratio and it wont be bottlenecked too much :)

not really. You can go for it, but your cpu would bottleneck it, so that it couldn't run at its potential anyway. Another thing would be OCing your cpu if you can. :)
Even if you can't/don't want to OC, but you feel like getting a better cpu after not too long, go for which card you feel would be the best. :)
In my opinion an OCed C2Q and an OCed 7850 would be a great pair. Keep in mind that you can OC the 7850 to perform like 7870 at stock clocks :)
