Iris Pro Graphics 5200 Desktop Game Requirement Analysis

Iris Pro Graphics 5200 Desktop are found in some of the 2013 Haswell desktop processors.
They feature 40 Execution Units (160 Shader Processing Units), 8 TMUs and 4 ROPs. They share system memory and so the memory channel and speed will depend on the users configuration. The best possible combination is a dual-channel bus-width with an operating memory clock of 800MHz.
Its central unit and turbo frequency also depend on the CPU its embedded but it ranges from 400MHz to 1300MHz.
Compared to Iris Graphics 5100 Desktop, they offer an additional eDRAM cache of 128MB and so might offer performance identical to a dedicated GeForce GT 640 or a Radeon HD 6670.

I'm not familiar with intel's gpu architecture, but why does it say that it has 160 shaders, when according to wiki and various other sites it has only 40 EUs? is it that every EU consists of 4 shaders or what?

Yeah, Pretty much. Each shader is a "thread", 4 threads per EU(or core). It's a bit more technical, but that's a basic explanation.

Yes, one Execution Unit is equivalent to 4 Shaders. I am yet to update this though :)

why not? If you give them 275x275mm die space - 1.55 bigger than the CPU die size and the integrated gpu consumes about 2 times more than CPU and then they make cpus and motherboards with GDDR5 Ram, then yes level 10 integrated GPUs, that you can cook your dinner on….

I'm serious though, this can be achieved only if what I said above is done.

I think that Integrated GPU's are the future but for now dedicated GPU's are the best when it comes to performance
