The GTX 960 does perform better than the R9 280 but if I were you I'd just save up for the R9 380.

Sorry for the late reply :P

I'll give you a couple examples of performance :)
Witcher 3 Everything Ultra (Hairworks off) and Foliage Density and Distance on high
Postprocessing Everything maxed apart from DoF and the Blurs (off)
60fps

Also that is at the res of 1680X1050

Project CARS runs well but I have to turn it down a little (AA wise) and no motion blur or DoF (around 60 fps)
Give me any suggestions for other things you want to know :)

depends on how the gaming market goes. From what i have been hearing about DirectX 12 and the graphical/load improvements on the cpu and gpu, i wouldnt see why not.

really depends on what games you intend to play. The 2GB and 128 bit bus will be limiting factors, but if you play light games like MMOs, yea it will be fine.

This gpu seems good for other 2/3 years at high-ultra grapichs (in 1440x900/1600x900) or medium-high (1920x1080)
