GeForce GTX 960 MSI Tiger OC 4GB Edition Game Requirement Analysis

Overview
GeForce GTX 960 MSI Tiger OC 4GB Edition is a Special Edition of NVIDIA's Performance GeForce GTX 960 2GB, created by MSI.

Overclock: Central Unit
The Central Unit now runs at 1178MHz, instead of 1127MHz and goes up to 1241MHz, in Turbo Mode.

Overclock: Memory Clock
None.

Frame Buffer
The Frame Buffer was doubled to 4GB.
While 4GB are needed in a few Modern Games for increased texture detail, the GPU is not powerful enough to work under other circumstances in which 4GB are needed, such as gaming above 1080p and thus a larger frame buffer is mostly a gimmick.

Cooling Solution
The reference NVIDIA Single-Fan Cooling System has been replaced by MSI's Armor 2X Thermal Design.

Performance
Benchmarks indicate a 2% performance over the reference GeForce GTX 960 2GB.

gd says that this gpu can't handle 4 gb in stress conditions. I have this card and msi afterburner says that mem usage is 3900mb in cod bo3. Why?

the cheaper one is the r8 380 and i've also seen benchmarks and reviews that the 380 is the best out of the 2, but will the difference between the 2gb edition and the 4gb be significant in 1080p?
