Architecture
It equips a GPU Codenamed Ellesmere XT which is a Forth Gen GCN GPU and has 36 SM activated and thus offers 2304 Shader Processing Units, 144 TMUs and 32 ROPs.

GPU
The Central Unit runs at 1120MHz and goes up to 1266MHz, in Turbo Mode.

Memory
The GPU accesses a 4GB frame buffer of Fast GDDR5, through a 256-bit memory interface, while the Memory Clock Operates at 1750MHz.

Power Consumption
With a rated board TDP of 120W, it requires at least a 450W PSU with one available 6-pin connector.

Performance
Benchmarks Indicate Radeon RX 480 4GB is, on average, as fast as GeForce GTX 970.

I got my Hands on this GPU, but somehow i wanna know if my CPU is bottlenecking or more like how much and what can i do (without buying new CPU, waiting for Zen!). also i wanna know which Game or Benchmark can easily tell me that my CPU really is the culprit.
http://www.directupload.net/file/d/4560/glqualgu_png.htm &#60-low valley score while gpu was avg at 69% load my CPU was at 33% strange?

Sory for late respond, your cpu is good for now, at least enough for rx 480, and they will work fine together (not great but will work without bottleneck), but all in all its not solution, your cpu is now 8 years old technology, i dont say thats bad but in some way it is. He is made in years when amd was producing bad cpus, and all in all he is not cpu for future playing. So all in all he will help for now, but start looking for new build.

You should be good to go for many games. You will be CPU-limited in many instances but I don't think it will be a game-breaking experience. RX 480 is definitely a good upgrade from your R7 370.

As long as you uninstall your previous drivers, make sure you have at least a 450 watt power supply with a 6-pin connector, and have an open PCIe slot on your motherboard, I don't see why not.

Depends what 1060 do you have in mind ? the 3gb version or the 6gb ? If the 3gb than the rx 480 4gb would be better I think.

Guys do you think this card will be worth the upgrade from mine? I know my CPU is low end and I plan to upgrade it when Zen comes out but what about the GPU? Would you recommend the rx480 vs a crossfire of two r9 270x for example?

Thanks in advance!

Just go with the RX 480. I have a Weak CPU too. But gonna upgrade soon when I have sufficient funds to buy since it bottlenecks my GPU. I can run BF1 beta at Med-High 1368 x 768p at >60 fps. GL :D

your rig is pretty nice balanced right now you could get also rx 480 it should work fine since you have also oc on cpu but there are also games where fx cpus cant keep up with simimalr performing card gtx 970 its allready known it cant push that much fps but as long you want 60fps its going to be fine… i would stick to your rig till it cant run games on medium then i will go for complate new rig

Guys, can we please get AMD RX family cards updated? None of the reference cards have been updated since release nor have any AIB cards been added at all. I love the GD hardware tools but we can't use them accurately if the hardware just doesn't exist in the database. Can someone point me to where members can request an addition so I can have a crack at a few of these cards?

Thanks!

i5 6600K would be a great choice, especially given your screen resolution.
