Hi, can i put this card into MSI Z97-G43 motherboard and will it work well alongside my CPU?
Is it actually worth upgrading over 47% to 50% performance increase?

Yes you can and it will work fine with your cpu. IMO you may want to wait for vega or volta, but its your choice

Thanks for the reply. I was actually thinking about going for one of the new AMD cards, but since I've only used Nvidia I don't really know what to expect of AMD. But by the time I actually upgrade, I think there's gonna be plenty of reviews and options to consider.

It might bottleneck in some CPU intensive games, otherwise is ok.

Would a 550W PSU be enough for Fx-8350 + 1060?

It is more than enough. I'm using a Corsair VS550 550W PSU with i7 3930k, GTX 1060 6GB and it works great.

Get the 1060 if you're going to keep it for 1, 2 years. Get the 480 if you're going to keep it more than 2 years.
