your current cpu will just bottleneck with it, would suggest somthing like an i7 6700, 7700 +(k varients) or an ryzen 7, i use an 7700k and works great

Yes, im using same cpu at 4.0ghz my opinion is that RX 480 or GTX 1060 is best gpu's which this cpu can handle, all better then those gpus is bottleneck.

If you wanna play at 4k then get it, but if you are gonna stay at 1080p then stick with the 970, or sell it and get a GTX 1060 for a lower premium, when overclocked the GTX 1060 would be a huge upgrade over a 970.

It's up to you…. Evga is usually No 1 choice for nvidia but i would go with this one. Also… if you want to oc to max then go for founders cos cooling on founders in superior then on reference acording to some articles and tests i saw.
